kitchen notes

welcome to our kitchen, where we gather to converse, discuss, reminisce, and share the important things that define our cooking, culture, history, and future as arab foodies trying to bridge the worlds we belong to. what you'll find here is the letters and notes, addressed to all of you, that grew around our food since the onset of our product sharing journey. these are the stories that were carried from a meal experience, a spice that left it's mark, or a powerful lesson from teta (and all of our tetas, really). they explain why we cook the way we do, and really how we live life.

this journal gathers and organizes those letters and notes into chapters you can actually live alongside and follow like an unfolding story arch. start where shawarmaji began with just chicken spice and toum and follow through chronologically, or only walk through our spice cabinet if that's what interests you. you have the ability to browse by chapter, and by article, or filter for any other specific content.

however you decide to move through it, we hope this journal feels less like a catalog and more like a conversation; one that’s ongoing, and always leaves room for another plate.
